The Rugby Championship 2016

With two rounds down and the table looking very skewed in favour of New Zealand, it’s time for a break from the Bledisloe Cup for the fans as well as the players.

Round 3 on Saturday, September 10th, sees New Zealand host Argentina in Hamilton then Australia host South Africa in Brisbane. Round 4 will be the following weekend where Perth will be host to the Wallabies v Argentina on September 17th, while New Zealand host South Africa earlier in the day in Christchurch.

The Perth Rugby Business Network (RBN), are hosting an event on the day of the Wallabies v Argentina, Rugby Championship, game. Our venue, the Brisbane Hotel, is a ten minute walk from the nib Stadium.

We have confirmed Ronnie Hurst as speaker. Ronnie will present a quick overview of the construction progress of the Perth Stadium and Sports Precinct, including a short video, and then highlight the rugby features. A Q&A with the audience will follow.

Entry includes a drink and should be a good warm up to the game – As well As Ronnie’s presentation we have a Q&A planned with the Perth Spirit players Angus Cottrell, Luke Burton and the backs coach Kevin Foote

The NRC kicked off on the 27th of August. The local Property Powerhouse Perth Spirit held on to take a win from their first game against Melbourne Rising.

Follow all the games live on Fox Sports or, even better, get down to watch your local side when they play at home.

The Perth Spirit is scheduled to play Queensland Country the day following the Wallabies test [Sunday 18th] and with this in mind, we hope to have a representative attending the event below. For reference – Queensland Country was dominated by University of Canberra Vikings in their first run out.

Hope to see you down at the UWA Oval supporting the Buildcorp NRC.
