Perth Rugby Business Network – July update

News and views from the Perth RBN following some eventful mid-year tests, as we enter the business end of the SuperRugby season.

There has been more than enough written in the press regards the Wallaby June Test Series with England, so let’s move onto what comes next, shall we?

The Rugby Championship 2016

There has been sufficient game time for all the Rugby Championship teams to make a mouthwatering contest come August and September. Keep an eye out for local RBN members meeting up to catch a game or two, and in Perth, we host the Argentinians on September 17th.

Given the final round of SuperRugby for 2017 has now been played, this is the next time high-level rugby will be played in our backyard. Keep and eye out for and RBN partnership with the ARU for tickets to the game.

Viva 7’s

In our last update in April, the Perth RBN had been invited to enter a team at the very first Western Force VIVA 7’s Partners Rugby Event. We were coached by a current Western Force Super Rugby player in the form of Richard Hardwick, who made his debut for the Force’s clash with the Highlanders this season.

The Perth RBN had jersey sponsorship on the night by Garth Davis of Property Powerhouse. We looked good in our kit and only lost one game by the smallest of margins. This was a great team effort!

This video will give you a taste of Viva 7’s and you can find out more on their website for local competitions and how to get involved.

Next Perth RBN event

The Organising committee is working in the background to set a date and secure speakers, a host and venue for the next event. Any suggestions or feedback would be welcomed. Please get in touch with Gareth on
