The Canberra RBN would like to thank those who attended the capital city’s second event on Monday 10th October for making it a huge success!
Former Wallaby Ben Darwin was fantastic, and the panel of Ben and Brumbies CEO Phil Thomson was run superbly by former Wallaby Clyde Rathbone. Ben had everyone captivated by his analytics of teams and competitions and had everyone talking at the end. PwC put on a great event and we are very thankful to them for providing the catering and their incredible offices for the night.
The event helped raise $1,175 for the Leukaemia Foundation in honour of Brumbies player, Christian Lealiifano, who was diagnosed with the disease in August. The RBN donated the funds through Phil Thomson’s fundraising page for the Light the Night event last Friday night, 14th October.
Every $100 raised covers the costs of giving one family immediate emotional support after the shock of diagnosis and one hour of life-changing blood cancer research. The impact of the Canberra RBN donation can therefore not be underestimated and for this, we thank all attendees and venue hosts, PwC, for making a donation of that size possible.
Thank you again for supporting the event. We look forward to welcoming you to more events in 2017.
